Shedeur Sanders' 2nd NFL start answers few questions as Browns' offense goes stagnant in loss to 49ers
6+ min ago (740+ words) After helping lead the Browns to victory against the Raiders in Week 12, Shedeur Sanders faced a stiffer test in his second NFL start on Sunday " windy and wintry conditions in Cleveland and a significantly tougher opponent in the San Francisco 49ers. The result was a 26-8 Niners win and a performance that answered few questions about Sanders' long-term viability as a starting NFL quarterback. Sanders was mostly mistake-free but Cleveland's offense was stagnant and ineffective, while mistakes and turnovers doomed any chance of the Browns competing against the superior 49ers. After throwing for 96 yards and a touchdown in the first half, Sanders did little in the second as Cleveland played from behind with a 17-8 deficit early in the third quarter. The Browns didn't score after halftime, and Sanders took a sack on fourth-and-16 midway through the fourth quarter that effectively ended the game....
Young inspires as Panthers upset Rams
6+ min ago (386+ words) Bryce Young threw three touchdowns as the Carolina Panthers halted the in-form Los Angeles Rams' six-game unbeaten streak with an upset 31-28 victory in the NFL on Sunday. Carolina quarterback Young tossed two daring second-half touchdowns on fourth down to give the Panthers a precious win heading into the final sprint for postseason places. The Rams -- who boasted the best record in the National Football Conference heading into Sunday's duel in Charlotte -- were left ruing mistakes at key moments. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford gave up a first quarter interception that Panthers defender Mike Jackson returned for a touchdown before a costly fourth quarter fumble effectively sealed his team's defeat. The win leaves the Rams at 9-3 for the season at the top of the NFC West while the Panthers improved to 7-6 to stay hard on the heels of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers…...

Would Bo Bichette be a Better Addition Than Kyle Tucker for Yankees?
11+ min ago (221+ words) For some, including Madison Pavich of Pinstripe Alley over at SB Nation, she believes that an infield upgrade would be a positive for the Yankees, especially if they're willing to forget about the outfield upgrades and try to find a positive impact offensively in the infield. "However, the flashier answers come from our second scenario, where the Yankees pivot away from the outfield and entrust left field to either Jasson Dominguez or Spencer Jones and go after an infield upgrade. Bo Bichette is a name that has been linked to the Yankees earlier in the offseason, and would be an outright upgrade to what Volpe has given them recently. As she mentioned, there have been some rumblings about Bo Bichette. On the surface, Bichette would be a nice player to have, but he's also a very bad defender, so there…...
Would Bo Bichette be a Better Addition Than Kyle Tucker for Yankees?
11+ min ago (199+ words) Sneakily, there's reason to believe the New York Yankees could use a player outside of Cody Bellinger or Kyle Tucker. That isn't to say that Bellinger or Tucker wouldn't be ideal options for the Yankees, as Bellinger already proved that, and Tucker is one of the best players in baseball, but if they can find an infielder who does positive things offensively, it might help the team out more long-term. Yahoo Sports senior MLB analysts Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman discuss the outfielder's accepting of a qualifying offer to return to the Bronx and what it could mean for the chances of Cody Bellinger also returning to the team in 2026. 11+ min ago (190+ words) In his third season in the NFL, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba has cemented himself as one of the best wideouts in the NFL. Through 11 games, Smith-Njigba is on pace for a historic season after tallying 1,313 yards. JSN has an opportunity to cross 2,000 yards, which would make him the first wide receiver to do so in NFL history. However, JSN is off to a slow start in the Week 13 game against the Minnesota Vikings. Here's a closer look at what's happening. Yes, JSN is active and healthy, but he has not been targeted through the first quarter of the contest. It has been tough sledding for Seattle's offense early in the game, as quarterback Sam Darnold has been under constant pressure and that is severely hindering Seattle's passing attack. It's just a matter of time before JSN gets going,…...
